Terms of Service
By adding Emotely to your Discord server or using any of its commands, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please remove the bot from your server.
1. What Emotely does
Emotely is a Discord bot that helps server administrators and members manage custom emoji. Its features include copying emotes from other servers, bulk importing and exporting emotes as ZIP files, and browsing or inspecting emoji in a server.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use Emotely only for its intended purpose and in compliance with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. You must not use Emotely to:
- Upload or distribute emoji that infringe on someone else's copyright or intellectual property.
- Upload or distribute emoji that are illegal, abusive, hateful, or in violation of Discord's guidelines.
- Attempt to abuse, overload, or otherwise disrupt the bot or its underlying infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer or tamper with the bot in any way.
3. Emoji and content
You are solely responsible for the emoji you upload, copy, or distribute using Emotely. By using the import or copy features, you represent that you have the right to use and upload that content. Emotely does not review or moderate emoji content.
4. Availability
Emotely is provided as-is, on a best-effort basis. It is self-hosted and maintained by one person. There is no uptime guarantee. The bot may go offline for maintenance, updates, or unexpectedly. We are not liable for any disruption to your server's emoji management as a result.
5. Permissions
Emotely requests only the Discord permissions it needs to function. Server administrators are responsible for reviewing and approving those permissions at the time of installation. You can remove the bot and revoke its permissions at any time through Discord's server settings.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to block access to Emotely for any server or user that violates these terms, abuses the service, or causes harm to others, at our sole discretion and without notice.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Emotely is provided without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, reliability, or fitness of the bot for any particular purpose. Use it at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sophia Atkinson and the Emotely project are not liable for any loss, damage, or harm arising from your use of the bot, including but not limited to lost emoji, server disruption, or third-party claims relating to content you uploaded.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
